First I want to thank everyone who commented on my rant in the previous post. I really appreciate your understanding. I was really touched by everyone's posts and to all the people who are keeping Andy and I in your thoughts.
We haven't completely decided our next path, but we're...I'm...really leaning toward IVF. His only reservations are its effect on me. However, at this point, right at this moment...I'm not ready for IVF.
Which brings me to my title....got the cholesterol results today and its even less pretty than before...my total cholesterol was 252! Before we do anything...I need to get my body ready. Yes, I know I've been saying this for awhile, but that number scares the sh*t out of me. I come from a family with heart problems. I saw my dad suffer from a heart attack in his 40s.
So carrots are my friends...

I will tell you that when I read about IVF and what all is involved, I was scared. Fate or God brought me a friend, it's really odd the way I found her and I won't go into it, but she was my mentor. She and a group of ladies had a support group and several of them had done or were doing IVF. When I met them and found that they were real people, just like me, and talked to them about it, it wasn't so scary anymore. In all reality, IVF is much more controlled that IUIs are in that you know how many embryos you're putting back and have a good idea for the max potential number of babies (except in the case of identicals). We had luck on our first try. I have no regrets at all. I had a great clinic and great support and it really wasn't bad.
I could go on for paragraphs, but I won't. I will tell you I found alot of comfort in a message board that I still go to and will be happy to point you that way or answer any other questions you might have...digiscrap.kat at gmail.com :) .
Carrots are my friends too! ;) I juiced two of them this morning along with my red declicious apple and it was yummy. Very fresh tasting.
I don't have any experience with high cholesterol, but I know you'll get that nipped in the rear quickly and then you'll be all ready for your next step. I'm here for you all the way!
